"The Shining"

I finally saw this movie. I didn't realize how creepy this movie was. The little girls in the hallway, the bloody hallways. The version I saw was the 1980's version. The basic plot was Jack becoming crazy, because the hotel, which was built on the burial ground was haunted. The silent creepy sightings of random unexplainable ghosts or former residents creates the tension. Of course I got to talk about the kid who has the "i'm shocked" look on his face, before a creepy vision comes. I saw some of the beginning and the last hour. I still haven't seen the t.v. series but I will in the future. This movie along with "The Amityville Horror", are among the creepiest old school movies I seen.

June: music reviews

Trey Songz -Yo Side of the Bed

Tremaine finally drops a song with some substance, other than "One Love", which pretty much never made it to radio. He channels his inner Prince, on the track found near the end of his album. This video gives a creative take on a loved one leaving for war, with Trey giving a decent performance.

Teairra Mari- Automatic

What is this mess. I actually liked the first album. I guess she chose the wrong writer for this one. (6-2-10)

Even though E.L.E. is his like his previous albums with more party oriented songs, and less creative concepts, I really enjoyed listening to this album. "Tear Da Roof Off", "Take It Off", and pretty much the whole album gets you pumped when you hear it. He may not be able to outshine his Flipmode members in the collabo, but you can't say he dosen't steal the spotlight with his energy.

ELE 2
While Busta may not bring conscious rap back with more of some supposed Swizz Beatz produced singles, he has promised to help save rap from too much "Pretty Boy Swag" type of songs (not in those words but you get the point.) The street single "Stop The Party" isn't really impressive at all. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come, because if so then it dosen't sound like a big leap from the first E.L.E.
